Bills New Cornerback Trade Target Emerges During Bye Week

The Buffalo Bills are in a good spot right now, as they have a 5-1 record and are at the top of the AFC East.

With the Bills being among the top teams in the NFL, they should once again be buyers at this year's trade deadline. Due to this, they are now being connected to a notable trade candidate during their bye week.

In a recent article for Bleacher Report, Kristopher Knox named the Bills among the top potential suitors for Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Riq Woolen.

With the Eagles sporting a 2-4 record and star quarterback Jalen Hurts expected to be done for the year, the expectation is that Philadelphia will be sellers this year. This has led to questions about Woolen's future with the Eagles, and it would make sense if the Bills targeted him because of it.

The Bills could use a boost at the cornerback position, and landing a Pro Bowler like Woolen would provide them with just that. Thus, the Bills could be a team to watch in Woolen sweepstakes leading up to the deadline.

Woolen has played in six games this season with the Eagles, where he has recorded 24 combined tackles. This is after he had an interception and 41 combined tackles in 16 games last season for the Seattle Seahawks. He also won the Super Bowl with Seattle last season, so he would be an intriguing player for a top contender like the Bills to acquire.
