Under the expanded collaboration, banks, fintechs and other financial institutions can seamlessly launch their own stablecoin-funded card programs on Euronet's Ren and CoreCard issuing platforms, with Fireblocks providing the embedded wallet infrastructure that holds and moves the underlying stablecoin balances, bridging the gap between traditional fiat networks and the digital asset ecosystem.
Stablecoins are becoming a mainstream way to hold and move money across borders, but spending them still usually means converting and moving funds between accounts first. Stablecoin-backed cards remove that step by connecting stablecoin balances directly to card networks. Consumers and businesses spend anywhere cards are accepted, and merchants continue to receive local currency.
Euronet brings global card issuing and processing capabilities through its Ren and CoreCard platforms, which serve leading financial institutions and fintechs worldwide. Fireblocks provides the wallet infrastructure underneath. Each cardholder receives an embedded wallet at onboarding, and fiat deposits convert to stablecoin before they are credited. End users will log in with credentials they already use and hold the balance their card spends from, with no seed phrase and no separate crypto app to manage. Fireblocks powers hundreds of payments companies and facilitates more than $300 billion in stablecoin volume each month on average. Together, Euronet and Fireblocks will provide a more integrated approach for financial institutions and fintechs to launch and scale stablecoin-powered card programs across markets, connecting the growing digital asset economy with the global infrastructure for everyday card payments.
Euronet began working with Fireblocks in October 2025, starting with partner settlement and pre-funding across its Cross-Border Payments segment. Extending that partnership into issuing opens a fast, white-label path for banks, fintechs and other financial institutions to launch stablecoin-backed cards without having to build the underlying digital-asset infrastructure themselves. The timing reflects a broader shift already under way in the market: more than 160 stablecoin-linked card programs were live on the Visa network in Visa's fiscal second quarter of 2026, with payment volume on those programs up nearly 200% year over year.
Euronet plans to offer this as a white-label capability that banks and fintechs can embed directly into their own banking or wallet app, with Euronet and Fireblocks managing the underlying infrastructure in the background.
“Stablecoins have fundamentally changed how money can move around the world, but their true potential will be realized when they become as easy to use as the payment products consumers and businesses already rely on every day. With our stablecoin-backed card offering, we are bringing together the speed, flexibility and global reach of digital currencies with the familiarity and acceptance of traditional card payments. Our goal is simple: enable our customers to launch innovative card programs across markets while abstracting away the complexity of digital assets, payments infrastructure and local ecosystems,” said Vishal Pasari, Vice President of Products & Partnerships at Euronet.
“A decade ago, stablecoins were just a trader's tool to exit Bitcoin. Today, combined with global cards, they are the ideal off-ramp for digital assets,” said Ran Goldi, Chief Payments and Network Officer at Fireblocks. “Euronet's Ren and CoreCard bring the issuing and processing expertise. As they advance their stablecoin strategy, Fireblocks provides the trusted infrastructure needed to deliver trust at scale.”
Card issuing marks the first major milestone in this expanded collaboration, laying the foundation for a broader roadmap of borderless, digital-first payment solutions between the two industry leaders.
