Giannis Antetokounmpo reportedly invested $70 million in real estate in 2025

Giannis Antetokounmpo has put roughly $70 million into apartment buildings since October 2025, according to reports on his family company. Ante, launched in 2023 by Antetokounmpo with his brothers Thanasis, Kostas and Alex, handled the deals.

The purchases cover 186 units across Wisconsin, Brooklyn and Chicago. The newest big spend is personal. A company linked to the Miami Heat forward paid $13.5 million for a mansion in Pinecrest, Florida, in early September, after the Milwaukee Bucks traded the two-time MVP to Miami.

How did Giannis Antetokounmpo’s $70 million real estate run start?

The buying began in October 2025 with The Atwater, a 39-unit building in Shorewood, Wisconsin, bought for $11.75 million. A month later, Ante added The Emerson, a 41-unit building in Madison, for $11.6 million.

Both sit in the state where the Bucks play. The biggest single move came in Brooklyn. Ante paid about $25.2 million for two neighboring buildings in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, known together as The Lawrence. They hold 50 apartments. Chicago followed with a $21 million purchase, covered in a later section.Add the four deals and the total lands near $69.6 million. That matches the figure CoStar first reported for Antetokounmpo’s family office, more than $69 million in about a year.

The spending covers five buildings and 186 units.Ante is not a one-purpose company. It started as a vehicle to manage business ventures, investments and brand holdings around the world, and real estate is one piece of that. In 2024 the group also launched Improbable Media, a production and brand strategy company co-founded with former NBA guard and ESPN analyst Jay Williams.Purchase prices do not equal cash spent, since loans can cover part of a deal.

The Chicago building, for one, came with an $11 million loan.

What do we know about Antetokounmpo’s $13.5 million Miami mansion?

A company linked to the two-time MVP paid $13.5 million for the house in Pinecrest, a village about 11 miles southwest of downtown Miami. The Real Deal reported the sale from property records. The buyer is an entity tied to the player’s attorneys in New York, and its name follows the same style as other companies Antetokounmpo uses.

The listing describes a nearly 12,000-square-foot home with eight bedrooms, 10 bathrooms and two half-bathrooms.

It sits on just over an acre, is not on the water and was recently completed. Inside are a media room and a guest house, and the grounds have a pool and Jacuzzi. Listing photos also show a covered outdoor kitchen and bar, poolside lounge areas and a second-level sky terrace. Total space reaches more than 15,000 square feet when indoor and outdoor areas are counted. The asking price was $16.3 million, so the buyer saved $2.8 million at closing.

A company led by Fouad Kraishan sold the property, with Juan Annicchiarico of JCAS Realty representing the seller. Ignacio Permuy of Coral Gables-based Permuy Architecture designed it. The lot is north of Deering Bay and west of Gables by the Sea.

Why do so many NBA players buy homes in Pinecrest?

Larger lots, more privacy and a short drive to private schools explain much of the pull. Pinecrest and nearby South Miami have housed athletes and celebrities for years. The neighbors show how crowded the NBA list is. Tyler Herro, sent to Milwaukee in the same trade, listed his Pinecrest mansion across the street from Antetokounmpo’s for nearly $12 million on the day the deal was finalized in July.

Herro paid $10.5 million for it in late 2022. Jeff Green sold his Pinecrest house for $15.5 million in April. Two years ago Jimmy Butler sold a 6,148-square-foot, six-bedroom home near South Miami and Coral Gables for $8.3 million, and Dion Waiters sold his Pinecrest home the same year.Against those sales, the $13.5 million price sits above what Herro paid and below what Green got. The village record for a single-family sale is $19.5 million, set last year, so the Heat star’s purchase falls well short of that mark.

Antetokounmpo’s family company spends $21 million in Chicago

Ante paid more than $21 million for Harmony Apartments, a four-story building on Chicago’s North Side. It was completed in 2024 and holds 56 units. The building sits roughly 85 miles from Fiserv Forum, where Antetokounmpo played his home games as a Buck.Essex Realty Group handled the sale. Old National Bank provided an $11 million loan, which means about half the price was financed. Ante is founded and run by Antetokounmpo and brothers Thanasis, Kostas and Alex, and the Chicago deal was the fourth in the run after two in Wisconsin and one in Brooklyn. It also brought the unit count to 186 across the portfolio. Of the $69.6 million spent on apartments, Chicago made up close to a third. How much is Antetokounmpo worth, and what has the NBA paid so far?Estimates put Antetokounmpo’s net worth at $170 million, with a listed salary of $58 million. Career NBA earnings total $335.2 million across 13 seasons with Milwaukee.

The pay climbed fast. A rookie deal paid $1.8 million in 2013-14.

A four-year, $100 million contract followed in September 2016. In December 2020 Antetokounmpo signed a five-year, $228 million extension, the largest deal in NBA history at the time. Another extension arrived in October 2023, worth $186 million over three years. Salary reached $51.9 million in 2025-26. Endorsements add at least $10 million a year, including a long-term Nike deal signed in November 2017.The production matched the money. Milwaukee drafted the forward 15th in 2013. Two MVP awards came in 2019 and 2020, then the 2021 title, when Antetokounmpo scored 50 points in the clinching Game 6 and won Finals MVP. Last season the Bucks went 32-50 and missed the playoffs while Antetokounmpo played 36 games, averaging 27.6 points, 9.8 rebounds and 5.4 assists.Set against the $170 million estimate, the $70 million in apartment deals equals about 40 percent. Purchase price overstates cash spent because loans cover part of some deals, including the $11 million in Chicago.
