NATHIAGALI, Oct 24 (APP):The first snowfall of the winter season has transformed the tourist destinations of Galiyat into a scenic winter landscape, with 1 to 1.5 inches of snow recorded in Nathia Gali, Changla Gali, Dunga Gali and surrounding areas.
Tourists are arriving in the region to enjoy the snow-covered mountains and lush green valleys, while the Galiyat Development Authority (GDA) has completed necessary arrangements to facilitate visitors.
According to the GDA, snow clearance operations have been carried out to clear roads for traffic, which is currently flowing smoothly. The relevant staff is monitoring the situation to ensure the safety of tourists and residents.
Meanwhile, Abbottabad Traffic Police has issued a special advisory, urging motorists to avoid unnecessary travel, drive at reduced speeds, maintain a safe distance between vehicles and avoid parking in areas vulnerable to landslides. Tourists have also been advised to use designated parking areas and follow the instructions of traffic police personnel.
The traffic police has asked travellers to contact helpline 1915 for assistance and urged visitors to observe safety precautions while enjoying the snowfall.
