October the 23rd, 2026 – Four Croatian Aminess campsites have taken home the prestigious ADAC Superplatz award, further spotlighting the progress camping in Croatia has experienced.
The latest prestigious ADAC Superplatz award has been given to Aminess Style Camping Atea Resort on the island of Krk. Poslovni reports that the latest prestigious ADAC Superplatz award has been awarded to Aminess Style Camping Atea Resort on the island of Krk, as part of the jubilee 20th Croatian Camping Congress, thereby joining the camping resorts Maravea and Sirena in Novigrad and Avalona on the island of Pag, which already carry this label.
The latest awards come at a time when Croatian camping is further strengthening its already enviable international position. Croatia is increasingly profiling itself as one of the highest-quality European camping destinations, and Aminess, with its investments, innovations and high management standards, is confirming its position among the leading Croatian companies in the premium camping segment.
“Four campsites with the ADAC Superplatz label are confirmation of the quality of Aminess’s camping offer and its position at the very top of Croatian camping, but also an incentive for further investment in its development. We are particularly proud of Atea Camping Resort, in whose development we invested 32 million euros last year. Such awards show that investments, knowledge and the dedication of employees bring concrete results. Our ambition is to actively raise European camping standards by developing products that, in terms of quality, facilities and guest experience, compete with the best in Europe. Croatian camping is at the very top in Europe, and Aminess wants to actively contribute to its further development and strengthening of competitiveness,” said Mladen Knežević, President of the Management Board of Aminess.
The renovation of Aminess Atea Resort, worth a hefty 32 million euros, was completed in 2025, transforming the campsite into a five-star premium resort. The renovation included raising the quality of accommodation, arranging pitches and modern accommodation units, developing additional facilities for guests and introducing modern digital solutions. Special emphasis was placed on preserving the natural environment and increasing the share of green areas, while reducing accommodation capacities in order to provide guests with greater privacy, comfort and a higher-quality holiday experience. Achieving the highest quality standards, including the criteria for ADAC Superplatz, was one of the key goals of this investment.
ADAC Superplatz is otherwise one of the most prestigious awards in the entire European camping industry and is awarded by the German automobile club ADAC on the basis of very strict quality criteria. The award is therefore an important indicator of excellence, but also additional confirmation of the competitiveness of Croatian campsites on the demanding European market.
