Windows Search has never been my favorite way to find files. I type something I know is somewhere on my PC, and then I wait for Windows to catch up. Sometimes the results take too long to appear, and other times I have to dig through things I wasn't even looking for. After getting tired of that, I came across Everything. It takes a completely different approach to finding files, and the difference was obvious from the first time I used it. What surprised me even more is that this simple tool has been around for nearly 20 years and is still free. After using it for a while, I started wondering why Windows doesn't already work this way.
