Leaked WhatsApp screenshots have pulled back the curtain on the bitter fallout between businessman Benjy Maponya and Solomon "MySol" Madibela, exposing a high-stakes feud rooted in a collapsed mining deal tied to the N4 Cluster / Buffels West tender in the North West region.
In the messages, Benjy makes it clear that he invested significant time, personal relationships, and his reputation into laying the groundwork for the business arrangement. Feeling cut off from what he believes are his rightful shares, he warned MySol that going public was his last resort, threatening to air the dispute across social media and community forums if a fair settlement could not be reached. MySol, however, was having none of it.
MySol fires back at exposure threats
Rather than backing down, MySol dismissed the warnings head-on, texting Benjy that social media pages and public outrage simply "don't scare" him. He shifted the focus to the contractual obligations, demanding that Benjy handle the finances properly and settle what was owed instead of making vague public threats.
MySol also reflected bitterly on the entire partnership, suggesting that getting involved with the N4 Cluster holdings was a serious mistake. He accused Benjy of playing his hand carelessly just to court public sympathy, writing:
"Playing my card stupid thinking I'm getting u attention kanta ke senya."
The exchange essentially marked the moment the two men's professional relationship curdled into an all-out public feud.

The feud goes public
After the WhatsApp conversation, neither party stayed quiet. Benjy took his grievances to a wider audience, sitting down for an interview on Podcast and Chill with MacG to share his version of events. MySol responded by securing an urgent interdict from the Gauteng High Court to block what he described as defamatory statements, before also appearing on Podcast and Chill to present his own account.
Fans and social media users who came across screenshots of the chats had mixed reactions, with many struggling to make out the text in the images shared online.
