Democratic Party (DS) leader Srdjan Milivojevic filed a request for access to a list of people pardoned by Aleksandar Vucic before he resigned as president of Serbia.
The request was for access to information on all pardons and decisions to halt criminal proceedings issued by Vucic during his term as president.
Vucic said that he had issued pardons for 49 people in his last days as president.
Milivojevic’s request was filed with the President's General Secretariat. It covers decisions from May 31, 2017, to September 27, 2026.
Milivojevic said the public had a right to know who had been pardoned, amid suspicions that the decisions may have benefited people whose testimony could reveal links to alleged organized crime groups. The DS has already filed a criminal complaint against Vucic, accusing him of exceeding his powers in connection with the pardoning of 49 people shortly before his resignation.
