Nike's next Air Force 1 Low sneaker is basically a work boot disguised as a well-dressed sneaker. Its name? The Air Force 1 Luxe.
This iteration of the Nike icon features textured black leather uppers, crisp stitching, and a tastefully layered Swoosh on the side. There's also golden details for an extra touch of "luxe." However, underfoot, it's like a classic Nike boot took over. These fancy Forces feature surprisingly thick, rugged rubber soles with deep lugs, which look like they were snatched from Nike's outdoor boots.
Basically, even in the nice clothes, these Forces refuse to clock out.

Nike has released hardy Air Force 1 Luxe sneakers before, believe it or not. They've appeared in different colorways, but they've all stuck to the same formal-function mashup build. Now, it's back at the perfect time.

Right now, Nike's pushing several sneaker-boots and even boot-minded sneakers, from cool Air Max Goadome Lows to Air Forces featuring GORE-TEX and Vibram, essentially treating the classic like a trail boot. Now, it's got sneakers dressed for an outdoor job and a Michelin-star dinner right after.
The Air Force 1 Luxe "Black/Bucktain" sneaker is available on Nike's website for $150.
