After two nightmare days in the Champions League, with four defeats out of four, Thursday brought a positive turn in Europe with wins for Milan and Juventus in the Europa League and Atalanta in the Conference League.

Meanwhile, it is already time for Serie A, with matchday seven kicking off this evening as Frosinone take on Sassuolo.
Below, as usual, are the morning's biggest stories.
Juventus: two players set to return against Lazio
Juventus are quickly moving on from their European comeback in Vigo as they prepare to face league leaders Lazio. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Spalletti is expected to recall several regular starters who were initially left out in Europe, including Bremer, Lucumì, Nico Gonzalez and Kolo Muani.
There could also be good news on the injury front: Jeremie Boga will undergo a fitness test at Continassa and, if he passes, will return to at least the bench. Spalletti will also have Edon Zhegrova available. Left out of the UEFA squad list but eligible for Serie A and the Coppa Italia, he could become a valuable weapon.
Milan: no extended break after Salzburg
Milan are putting their win over Salzburg behind them and already turning their attention to the league clash against Atalanta. Rúben Amorim's team will return to Italy today and resume training on Saturday, the day before the match at San Siro.
According to MilanNews.it, the Portuguese coach will not hold his usual pre-match press conference for this round. That leaves very little time to prepare for Atalanta following their European fixture.
Inter, Lautaro sidelined: who replaces El Toro?
Inter must rethink their attack following Lautaro Martinez's injury. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Pio Esposito is the leading candidate to start against Bologna, probably alongside Marcus Thuram.
Bonny, however, remains ready to seize his chance, especially with seven matches to play before the next break. Chivu will have to share minutes and responsibility among his three available forwards: Pio has already shown he can handle a heavy workload, Thuram is seeking consistency with an eye on his France prospects too, while Bonny is still waiting for his first start of the season.
Napoli, a chance for Lucca: Allegri reshuffles again at Venezia
Napoli are preparing to rotate again against Venezia. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Lorenzo Lucca could get his first real chance to start this season, partly to give Hojlund a breather after his heavy workload.
Lobotka and Gilmour will return in midfield, while McTominay will be eased back in after his lengthy layoff. De Bruyne could also be rested, with Lang, Giovane and Alisson Santos competing for a place in attacking midfield. Allegri wants to make the most of rotation without losing balance amid a packed schedule.
Roma, Gasp missing five key players: injury for Koné
Roma head into their clash with Genoa facing a full-blown selection crisis. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Gasperini will be without Svilar, Cristante, Koné, Dybala and Malen—effectively half the spine of his starting side.
The biggest concern is Manu Koné, who left the pitch in tears against Real Madrid: there are fears of a right hamstring injury that could sideline him for two to four weeks. There is more optimism over Dybala, who could miss only the Genoa match. That opens the door for youngsters Pisilli, Mora and Castro, who will be asked to shoulder significant responsibility.
Lazio: Pellegrini awaits the green light
Luca Pellegrini continues to train regularly with the squad, but his reinstatement remains on hold. According to Corriere dello Sport, the player's representatives had received assurances before the match against Monza, but he was ultimately not called up.
The next 48 hours will be decisive: Pellegrini is waiting to hear from Lazio whether he can finally return to the squad for the trip to Juventus. Otherwise, his return will be delayed once again.
Fiorentina, Vanoli switches things up: 4-3-3 to stop Nico Paz
Paolo Vanoli is considering a more balanced Fiorentina side to face Como. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the coach is seriously weighing up a switch from 4-2-3-1 to 4-3-3, primarily to compensate for Atta's absence and provide more protection in front of the defence.
There are two main midfield options: Fagioli as the deep-lying playmaker, flanked by Ndour and Brescianini, or Oulai in front of the defence with Fagioli and Ndour in the two central midfield roles. Up front, Mastantuono and Njie are expected to support Pellegrino. One of the main priorities will be containing Nico Paz, the focal point of Como's attack.
