Gospel singer Ringtone Apoko has stirred up conversation online after posting a TikTok video in which he warned Runda residents about women he claims are using the upmarket neighbourhood's jogging paths as hunting grounds for wealthy men.
The clip, filmed on a leafy suburban street in Runda, Nairobi, on October 19, 2026, shows Ringtone walking and speaking directly into his phone camera in a playful, cautionary tone.
An on-screen caption reading "Message 4 Runda..." runs throughout the video, adding to its humorous framing.

According to him, those women are not neighbours, they are from Ruaka and Thindigua, and their presence in the neighbourhood has a specific purpose.
"Residents wa Runda, wasichana smart, unapata Runda wana walk, wana jog, hao wanatoka Thindigua, hao wanatoka Ruaka. Be careful, be careful," he said in the clip, switching between Swahili and Sheng throughout.
Ringtone, who rose to fame with his popular gospel track Pamela, delivered the message with a grin, clearly poking fun at the idea while also leaning into his well-known persona as a self-styled commentator on matters of wealth and relationships.
