Pakistan captain Sahibzada Farhan has broken India’s Abhishek Sharma’s record for the most runs in a three-match bilateral T20I series between two ICC full-member nations.
The 30-year-old achieved the milestone during Pakistan’s home series against Sri Lanka, scoring half-centuries in all three matches. He finished with 238 runs at an average of 79.33 and a strike rate of 165.27, earning the Player of the Series award.
Sahibzada Farhan, who was appointed Pakistan’s full-time T20I captain ahead of the series, surpassed Abhishek’s previous record of 229 runs, set against Afghanistan earlier this year. The Indian opener had averaged 76.33 during the three-match home series, scoring a century and a half-century.
