Martin De Roon made some statements after the match lost against Real Madrid.
“It’s a huge shame; the ending was tough. I think we played a great game for 70 minutes, we put Real Madrid under pressure and deservedly took the lead.”
“We played great for 30 minutes, then a little less so in the last 15 minutes of the first half, and then we played very well for another 20 minutes of the second half.”
“Then their quality also came out, with some fresh players who perhaps changed the game a bit. But we defended well, except on corners. In the end, that’s part of the game. In those situations, we were very static, not very responsible, too stagnant, and we defended poorly.”
