Speaking to Egypt's Middle East News Agency (MENA), a French presidency official at the Elysee Palace stated that heavy reliance on military action has failed to yield solutions, "leaving the region in a serious strategic impasse nearly eight months after the war broke out".
The official noted that while France was neither consulted about nor chose the outbreak of the war, President Macron has consistently pushed for peaceful dialogue and diplomacy.
The official also revealed that throughout the crisis, France has sought to "fulfill its responsibilities as a loyal and reliable partner" to its regional allies.
To sustain direct diplomatic momentum, President Macron is scheduled to launch a four-nation regional tour visiting Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Qatar.
As reported by Egypt Today, the french official revealed that the tour aims to facilitate in-depth discussions with Arab leaders and evaluate the security situation in the Middle East.
