The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Gambians Abroad received with great concern and sadness, news of Houthi militia’s attacks on two international airports in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia resulting in death, injuries and damages to the properties. The Government of The Gambia condemns these attacks, as they represent grave violations of the Kingdom’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, and also constitute a direct threat to the security of the entire region of the Middle East.
The Ministry reiterates the Republic of The Gambia’s complete unwavering support and solidarity with the Government and the people of the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during this difficult period.
The Ministry extends its profound sympathy and condolences to the Government and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, especially the bereaved families and prays that Allah the Almighty envelopes the deceased in His infinite mercy, and grant them the highest place in Paradise, and for the injured to have speedy recovery.
