Newcastle United will face off against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park this Sunday as they look to secure a win on the road in the Premier League. The Magpies suffered a tough 1-0 loss at the hands of Aston Villa recently, so they would be eager to put in a much-improved showing in midweek.
Matthias Jaissle will set his men up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make one change to his first team for this game. Hence, William Osula will spearhead Newcastle’s attack up top.

Defence
Lukas Hornicek will play in between the sticks for the Tyneside club after conceding one goal in his last outing. Malick Thiaw will function alongside Sven Botman at the heart of Jaissle’s backline as they look to keep the opposition attackers frustrated during the game.
Lewis Miley will try to catch the eye as the right-back, while Lewis Hall hopes to put in a solid performance on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.
Fabian Schar will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield
Joelinton and Nico Gonzalez will anchor the midfield for the Tyneside club as they look to establish their superiority over the opposition at the centre of the park.
The gifted trio of Harvey Barnes, Yoane Wissa and Matias Fernandez-Pardo will play just ahead of them as part of the Newcastle attack. All three of them need to be at the top of their game if the Magpies are to secure a good result this weekend.
Joe Willock, Jacob Murphy and Sean Steur will have to be content with a spot on the bench as they wait for their chance to shine in the second 45 minutes if needed.
Attack
William Osula will lead the line for the Tyneside club up top. He has to figure out a way to be a real menace in the final third.
Bazoumana Traore will have to settle for a place on the bench as he waits for his chance to make an impact in the latter stages of the game if required.
