San Francisco 49ers QB Brock Purdy completed 21 of his 29 pass attempts for 264 yards and a touchdown during the team's 23-17 win over the Washington Commanders in Week 6. Purdy also ran five times for 28 yards.
Why It Matters: Purdy was red hot to start the game but did little in the second half, which not coincidentally followed Mike Evans (Achilles) departing for the night. Evans was the team's last difference maker at receiver, and without him, the Commanders were able to commit numbers to getting after Purdy. It sounds as though Evans won't play in Week 7, leaving the team even more shorthanded at the position. The number of injuries have really piled up, and it's starting to undermine Purdy, who was a strong QB1 early on in 2026. He remains a passable QB1, but you should consider your alternatives for Week 7.
