A six-year-old tweet from actress Rami Chuene is making the rounds again on X, and it has the timeline in absolute chaos. User @k4r4b34st shared a screenshot of the original post on 12 October, describing Rami as 'The first South African woman to promote her daughter's OnlyFans. 💔' and sending South African social media into a tailspin all over again.
Rami's original #coochieforacause post
Back on 23 October 2019, the veteran actress and television personality took to her platform to publicly promote her daughter Nthateng's OnlyFans subscription page. The account had been set up as a way to raise funds for Nthateng's culinary school education. Rami leaned into the awkwardness of the moment with a now-infamous caption:
"This child of mine has this thing going. Please subscribe! #CoochieForACause yes, I'm retweeting under duress. 🤷🏽♀️"
The post drew sharp and immediate reactions at the time, splitting followers between those who admired her as an unconventional, progressive parent willing to back her daughter's hustle, and those deeply uncomfortable with the nature of the endorsement. Briefly News reached out to Rami Chuene for comment on the resurfaced tweet, but she had not responded at the time of publication.
