PETALING JAYA: Zetrix AI Bhd will fully cooperate with the authorities in an ongoing joint investigation by the police and the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia Securities today, the company said its operations remained unaffected by the investigations, Bernama reported.
The company was responding to a query from Bursa dated Oct 14 regarding a media report, “Police say 6 witnesses questioned in probe into MyEG, Zetrix AI”, published by The Edge on Tuesday.
Zetrix said it would communicate any material developments through official announcements.
It was reported that police had recorded statements from six witnesses in its investigations into MyEG Sdn Bhd and Zetrix's alleged failure to transfer RM230.9 million in collected government revenue.
The probe follows revelations that MyEG and Zetrix, which act as collection agents for the road transport department (JPJ), owe the department RM314 million in arrears.
MACC also said it would work with the police to investigate the RM314 million arrears that MyEG and Zetrix owed JPJ.
Transport minister Loke Siew Fook previously said Zetrix had been issued 35 notices to settle the outstanding amount.
He said Zetrix submitted a cheque for RM231 million in August, but the bank later informed JPJ that it could not be processed on the company's instructions.
