Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell will play for the first time in 22 months this Sunday against the New York Giants, coach DeMeco Ryans said Monday.
Dell, 26, has spent the last nearly two years recovering from a torn ACL, MCL, PCL and other ligaments in knee sustained during a game in December 2024.
He returned to practice during training camp but suffered a setback. He first practiced with the team two weeks ago, which opened up a 21-day window for the Texans to activate him.
Dell had 98 catches for 1376 yards and 10 touchdowns over his first two seasons before being sidelined.
Monday's announcement comes a week after the Texans traded for former No. 4 overall pick Marvin Harrison Jr. The Texans cut Jared Wayne to make room on the active roster for Harrison.
