The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has visited Costa Rican President Laura Fernández alongside his wife, Folu Adeboye, during the church’s National Crusade of Hope in the Central American country.
Adeboye disclosed this in a post on his official X handle, describing the visit to the presidency as a great honour and an opportunity to strengthen relationships and discuss faith, peace and the transformation of lives.
He said he was warmly received by Fernández and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to engage with the country’s leadership.
“We were warmly received by President Laura Fernández, and I am grateful for this opportunity to strengthen relationships and share in conversations that underscore the importance of faith, hope, peace, and the transformation of lives,” Adeboye wrote.
The cleric said the church’s mission remained focused on spreading the Christian message across national and cultural boundaries.
“The Gospel of Jesus Christ is not limited by borders, languages, or cultures. Our mission remains to take the message of salvation to every nation, trusting God to bring hope to individuals, families, and communities,” he said.

Adeboye added that he was praying for the crusade to bring spiritual renewal and positive changes to Costa Rica.
“As we continue the National Crusade of Hope in Costa Rica, my prayer is that the light of Jesus will shine brightly across this beautiful nation, bringing salvation, healing, restoration, and a renewed hope for the future,” he stated.
He also prayed for the Costa Rican president and the country’s people, expressing hope that the nation would continue to experience peace and what he described as the goodness of God.
“May the Lord bless President Laura Fernández and the people of Costa Rica, and may this nation continue to experience the goodness and peace of God,” he added.
The RCCG general overseer concluded his message by quoting Habakkuk 2:14 from the King James Version of the Bible: “For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.”
