It's no surprise why USB portable monitors are becoming so popular. They provide extra screen real estate for laptop users and they're much slimmer and lighter than your average monitor so you can carry them around. Many newer laptops now have USB ports that can power the monitor so that you don't even need to plug it into an outlet. In addition to boosting productivity on a laptop, the monitor also works as a totable display for your Nintendo Switch. Talk about convenience!

The ASUS ZenScreen (MB16AHV) is a portable 15.6" monitor that weighs just 2 pounds and measures less than 0.5 inches thin. The plastic housing has been treated with an ionic silver coating "inhibiting 99.9% of bacteria". The monitor features a built-in kickstand and a 1/4" threaded hole for attaching it to a tripod or table mount.
The 15.6" IPS display features a 1080p resolution (141ppi), 60Hz refresh rate, wide 178-degree viewing angle, and an anti-glare matte surface. Connectivity options include two USB Type-C ports and one mini HDMI port to connect to a laptop, tablet, or handheld gaming PC for use as a main or secondary display. If your device is equipped with a USB Type-C output with Power Delivery, then a single cable can be used for both video and power. Otherwise, you'll need two cables: a mini HDMI or USB Type-C cable for video and a second USB Type-C cable to a wall charger for power.
Compatible with Nintendo Switch or Steam Deck
This monitor works quite well paired with a gaming handheld like the Nintendo Switch or Steam Deck. You will have to use the two-cable setup (one USB cable to the handheld, one USB cable to a wall charger) for this to work properly. The 1080p 60Hz panel best complements the Nintendo Switch, since the Switch only supports up to 720p @ 60Hz anyway. The Steam Deck and Switch 2 can support higher resolutions and refresh rates, but at that point you're really taxing your system, and 1080p/60Hz on a smaller display is an ideal balance between visual fidelity and playable framerates.
