By Breaking Belize News Staff: Police are searching for a suspect in the murder of 27-year-old Jory Bowden, who was shot and killed while sitting on a verandah along Central American Boulevard in Belize City on Friday night.
According to police, Bowden was sitting at a residence when a gunman jumped over a fence and fired several shots in his direction. He was transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Bowden, a resident of Pelican Street, was reportedly at a house on Central American Boulevard when the attack occurred. The gunman, dressed in black, reportedly approached from the direction of Antelope Street.
During Tuesday’s police press briefing, investigators confirmed that they are seeking one suspect. Police also acknowledged the possibility of a connection to other recent shootings but said no link has been established.
Authorities say investigations continue as police maintain operations across Belize City in response to the recent surge in gun violence.
