Rosé will soon have a night at the museum.
The Blackpink superstar has been tapped to be the musical guest at LACMA‘s Art+Film Gala. As previously announced, the milestone 15th annual fundraiser will take place at the Los Angeles institution on Nov. 7, and honor Vija Celmins from the art side and Dune visionary Denis Villeneuve for the film set. The gala is once again presented by Gucci, and co-chaired by Leonardo DiCaprio and Eva Chow.
“The LACMA Art+Film Gala celebrates creative icons and the connections between all forms of creativity, all around the world,” said Chow in a statement. “As a global pop superstar, Rosé will amplify the spirit of the evening with her incomparable talent and style.”
The singer follows in the footsteps of previous Art+Film Gala performers like Doja Cat (who headlined last year), Charli XCX (with surprise guest Troye Sivan), Celeste, Anderson.Paak, Annie Lennox, Sam Smith, Lenny Kravitz and more. She also knows what she’s getting into by taking the stage at the glitzy fundraiser as Rosé has attended the gala in years past, dropping by to make back-to-back appearances in 2022 and 2023.
Beyond her Blackpink success, Rosé released a debut solo studio album, rosie, that snagged more than 10 billion streams and produced a hit single, APT, with Bruno Mars, that earned three Grammy nominations. She’s also a force on the brand side with ambassador gigs with Saint Laurent, Tiffany & Co., Rimowa, Puma, YSL Beauty, Levi’s and more. She released a single, “new trick,” on Sept. 17, so it’s likely that her LACMA gala set will include that and other songs up her sleeve.
Proceeds from Art+Film are funneled to LACMA’s focus to make film central to the museum’s curatorial program while also supporting its broader mission with exhibitions, acquisitions, educational programming and more. Transportation and additional support for the gala will be provided by Audi.
