Samsung Electronics (005930.KS) has won innovation awards from U.S. magazine Forbes, earning recognition for its home appliance technology.
The company said on the 12th that its Bespoke AI Family Hub refrigerator and Moving Style portable screen received 2026 Smart Home Awards from Forbes Vetted.
Forbes Vetted is a product review outlet operated by Forbes. Launched in 2020, it created the Smart Home Awards for the first time this year. The awards select 50 innovative products that improve convenience and efficiency in daily life across seven categories, including kitchen appliances, cleaning, home office and home entertainment. Experts tested hundreds of products over seven months to pick the winners.
The Bespoke AI Family Hub was the only refrigerator to win a Smart Home Award. Forbes Vetted praised the product as an excellent refrigerator on the strength of its organized storage layout and its Beverage Center, which includes a water dispenser and an auto-filling water pitcher. The outlet added that everyday features available through the 32-inch screen — a calendar, web browser, weather, photo gallery and music — are also useful.
The Bespoke AI Family Hub also uses internal cameras to identify and manage food items, allowing users to check the contents of the refrigerator through a Samsung mobile app while shopping. The product was named best overall in Forbes Vetted's "best smart refrigerators" review last October and earned the same distinction in its "best refrigerators" review in May this year.
Moving Style, which won in the home office category, was described as an ideal display for both work and leisure, with adjustable height and a rotating function for watching short-form and vertical video. Users can also watch live channels and on-demand content through Samsung TV Plus. Its price of under $900 (about 1.21 million won) was also called reasonable.
