NFL Network analyst Michael Robinson has apologized for controversial comments he made about Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts' blood clot situation.
After Robinson made bizarre comments last week about Hurts using his health as an excuse to sit out and avoid any blame for a lost Eagles season, the former NFL player withdrew his commentary in an apology.
"I want to sincerely apologize to Jalen Hurts, his family, the Philadelphia Eagles organization and fan base for my comments last Thursday," Robinson shared on social media on Monday evening. "They were unfounded, and I never should've speculated on a health issue of a player nor his commitment to his team."
Good on Robinson for walking those insensitive remarks back, particularly with how serious Hurts' situation is.

We live, and we learn. Hopefully, Robinson will be more mindful of how to discuss injuries like this in the future.
Is Hurts out for the season?
He is, unfortunately.
