Ethereum traded at $2,350, losing 6.5% of its market cap over 24 hours, after a liquidation-driven sell-off exposed how quickly leveraged ETH positions can unwind. The immediate question is whether buyers can reclaim $2,500, or whether the next support at $2,250 comes into view. Here’s our Ethereum price prediction.
In the 24-hour futures tally reported during Asian morning hours, ETH accounted for about $286 million of $483 million in combined bitcoin and ether liquidations. A separate, broader market tally put total crypto liquidations near $942.1 million, with longs representing 91.6%.
The immediate catalyst was September US CPI: annual inflation accelerated to 3.7% from 3.4%, above the 3.6% forecast, while core inflation rose to 2.6%. Hotter inflation can delay expected Fed easing, pressuring risk assets through tighter rate expectations and weaker liquidity.

ETH’s $2,350 quote is below the $2,350 first support, leaving the market at a technical decision point. In the liquidation snapshot, Ethereum fell about 6.4% to $2,350, versus Bitcoin’s 3.2% decline. Ethereum also recorded $288.60 million in liquidations, with 92.1% coming from longs.
For now, $2,370 is the first threshold to reclaim, with $2,250 below it; resistance sits at $2,500 and then $2,550. For a wider downside scenario, another ETH price analysis also focuses on liquidation risk and support.
- Bull case: ETH recovers $2,350 and holds it, opening a test of $2,500.
- Base case: price remains volatile below that threshold as the market digests forced selling.
- Bear case: a sustained failure at $2,350 leaves $2,250 exposed; a daily close below the first level would further weaken the technical picture.
The setup is damaged, not settled. Can buyers turn a liquidation flush into a durable reclaim?

For leveraged ETH longs, this drawdown is already costly; for spot holders, the risk is that a support failure extends the repricing. Liquidations can clear crowded positioning, but they do not establish a floor on their own.
When macro pressure and fragile technicals align, some traders look beyond a single-chain recovery trade.
The Order has reached a decision.
