A total of 16,271 observers representing 26 domestic groups and 57 international organizations will track the upcoming parliamentary elections in Serbia, Republic Election Commission (RIK) Chairman Vladimir Dimitrijevic announced Friday.

Dimitrijevic noted that he believes this figure represents a record-breaking turnout for election observation.
Serbian snap parliamentary elections will be held on Sunday, October 25.
