BANGKOK: THE Minister for Finance, Ambassador Khamis Mussa Omar, has led the country’s delegation at the conclusion of the Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank in Bangkok, Thailand, where discussions focused on job creation, infrastructure development, adding value to natural resources, including minerals, and strengthening the private sector as a driver of economic transformation.
The meetings brought together governors of the two institutions, finance ministers, permanent secretaries, central bank governors from various countries and private-sector representatives to discuss the global economic outlook, financial challenges and strategies for accelerating sustainable development.
