The 2026 Shinhan SOL Mate and Seoul Economic Daily Park Golf Masters National Championship will begin accepting applications nationwide on the 13th.
The tournament, co-hosted by Seoul Economic Daily and Shinhan Financial Group, will take applications from 9 a.m. on the 13th until 4 p.m. on the 16th through a single nationwide process. Unlike previous years, applicants may register regardless of their region, with no separate quotas by city or province, and entries will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications can be submitted through the Korea Park Golf Association website. The tournament will be held on the 29th and 30th at Yangpyeong Park Golf Course in Yangpyeong County, Gyeonggi Province.
In 2024, Seoul Economic Daily became the first national daily newspaper in South Korea to launch a nationwide park golf tournament in partnership with the Korea Park Golf Association. Now in its third year, the event is designed as a gathering where park golf enthusiasts from across the country can compete and socialize.
This year's tournament will draw a total of 600 participants, including 480 players along with officials, referees and organizing committee members. Prize money totals 23 million won ($16,000), with an additional 13 million won ($9,000) in prizes in kind. The men's and women's champions will each receive 5 million won in prize money and 3 million won worth of goods. Other awards include a hole-in-one prize at designated holes and master awards by age group.
