Getafe CF have successfully completed the most complex step in the deal to sign Dani Carvajal. LALIGA has given final approval to the Financial Fair Play compliance and wage bill submitted by Getafe's board.
Following approval from the body headed by Javier Tebas, the veteran Madrid-born full-back's arrival in José Bordalás's squad is now a done deal. All that remains is for the club based at the Coliseum to issue an official statement to conclude the negotiations.
The former Real Madrid player has successfully passed the mandatory medical examinations. He joins on a free transfer as a free agent, a factor that has made it easier to meet the financial requirements set by the league.
Carvajal will bring leadership, experience at the highest level and solidity on the right flank this season.
The formal announcement will be made through the Madrid club's official channels in the coming hours. Once the formalities are complete, the player will immediately report to the coaching staff and join the squad for training.
