Josh Allen’s wife Hailee Steinfeld goes viral for NSFW cheer after pivotal Bills moment against the Rams (Getty Images and X/NFL)
Hailee Steinfeld rarely appears on NFL broadcasts, but Josh Allen gave her a reason to forget about keeping a low profile. The actress was caught on ESPN’s Monday Night Football broadcast cheering loudly for her husband during the Buffalo Bills’ Week 5 game against the Los Angeles Rams on October 12, 2026.
Late in the fourth quarter, Allen broke loose for a 21-yard run that put Buffalo within five yards of the end zone. Steinfeld’s excited reaction, including an uncensored cheer, quickly became a talking point as the Bills pushed to extend their lead.
Hailee Steinfeld’s NSFW cheer breaks her usual game-day silence
The moment stood out because Steinfeld has generally avoided becoming part of the spectacle surrounding Allen’s NFL career. She has attended Bills games for years, but television cameras have rarely focused on her in the stands. That changed when ESPN showed her reacting to Allen’s run. The broadcast caught her shouting, “Go Josh. Let’s go Josh. Let’s f***ing go.” Her enthusiasm was unmistakable, and the uncensored cheer gave viewers a glimpse of how invested she was in the game.
Allen’s run was more than a routine scramble. He covered 21 yards to reach the Rams’ five-yard line, putting Buffalo in position to score at a crucial stage of the contest.
Two plays later, running back James Cook reached the end zone to give the Bills a 34-27 lead.Hailee Steinfeld’s reaction was therefore tied to a significant moment on the field. Rather than appearing in a staged segment or a pregame interview, she was caught up in the action as it unfolded. That made the clip feel different from the usual celebrity shots during NFL games.
Josh Allen’s wife has kept her Bills fandom largely private
Steinfeld has supported Allen since their relationship became public in 2023.
Still, she has managed to avoid the constant television attention that often follows the partners of high-profile NFL players.Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes, for instance, have regularly drawn attention during games involving their partners, Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes. Steinfeld has taken a quieter approach, with much of the available evidence of her game-day appearances coming from photographs and social media posts. She has also been seen wearing Bills gear and posing with fans. Photos from previous games show that her support for Buffalo is hardly new. What viewers had not seen, until this broadcast, was such a direct reaction to Allen’s play on live television.
The distinction matters because Steinfeld is a familiar name outside football, thanks to her acting and music career. Yet her appearance during the Bills-Rams game was not a promotional moment.
It was a spontaneous display of support for Allen at a tense point in the game. The broadcast also offered a reminder that Hailee Steinfeld's preference for privacy does not mean she is detached from the football side of her husband's life. She can cheer for him without seeking attention, but a camera catching that reaction can change the conversation in seconds.
