General Motors is presenting its vision for future mobility at the 2026 Daegu International Future Auto & Mobility Expo (DIFA 2026), running from the 21st to the 24th at EXCO in Daegu, where it is showcasing Cadillac's flagship full-size electric sport utility vehicle, the 2026 Escalade IQ.
GM has taken part in DIFA for five consecutive years since 2022. This year, through a hands-on exhibition centered on the 2026 Escalade IQ, the company is giving visitors a direct look at its electrification technology, premium digital experience and engineering capabilities.
At the DIFA 2026 Conference held on the afternoon of the 21st, Brian McMurray, president of GM Technical Center Korea, delivered the keynote address. McMurray said that as artificial intelligence rapidly transforms daily life and the auto industry, future mobility will depend not only on the performance of technology but also on human judgment, responsibility and trust in that technology.
"DIFA 2026 is a meaningful venue where we can introduce both GM's electrification technology and GM Technical Center Korea's track record of turning it into vehicle development, and share the direction of future mobility," McMurray said. "Through this exhibition, we hope to showcase GM's technology and the role of GM Technical Center Korea, and to broaden our communication with visitors, industry officials and future talent."
Now in its 10th year, DIFA 2026 features exhibitions and forums covering the future mobility industry as a whole, including eco-friendly mobility, AI, electrification, and battery and charging infrastructure.
GM Technical Center Korea is the second-largest research and development operation among GM's global sites, after its U.S. headquarters. It has facilities capable of complete vehicle development, from design and engineering to final vehicle validation and production technology, and plays a central role in advancing global electrification and future mobility technology.
