Commander of the Kuwait Naval Force, Rear Admiral Saif Al-Hamlan attended the launch of the construction of three missile-strike vessels under the Al-Dorra Project, in partnership with the UAE’s EDGE Group.
The ceremony was attended by Kuwaiti Ambassador to Singapore H.E. Sheikh Jaber Duaij Al-Sabah. A statement by the Kuwaiti Army on Wednesday said the project aims to strengthen the Kuwaiti Naval Force’s capabilities, boost combat readiness and maritime security, and protect the country’s strategic maritime interests.
Rear Admiral Al-Hamlan met with Singapore Navy Commander Rear Admiral Sean Wat to discuss military cooperation, maritime coordination, and ways to exchange expertise between the two countries, the statement added.
