An upstate New York brewery released eerie footage from its motion-activated kitchen security camera that shows a mysterious white shape, knives vanishing and lights flickering while no one is around.
Paul Halayko, who owns the roughly 160-year-old Newburgh Brewing Company, can’t explain what his cameras are picking up, where the missing items are going, or what is happening at all.

“It’s mostly been focusing on our kitchen,” he told News 12 Hudson Valley.
“It’s kind of like a grimaced mouth — very creepy with the teeth, definitely see two eyes,” he said while pointing out his observations of the security camera footage.
Two other overnight recordings caught flashes of light roughly 47 minutes apart while the restaurant sat empty, he said.
Side-by-side stills also show pots, a garbage pail, a tray and knives seemingly moved from where they were left or gone from view entirely, though neither video captures the items actually moving.
“We’ve got two knives right there in the middle on the knife rack,” he told the outlet.
“Now let’s go to the next photo — they are gone,” he said.

He took the possible haunting seriously and contacted the city historian to investigate possible tragedies that might have happened at the site.
The historian found no record of any fatal accident in the building, though she cautioned that industrial work could be dangerous and some incidents may never have been documented.
But none of that explains what the cameras caught, he said.
A brewery worker has also reported spotting a man in overalls several times in the downstairs production area, Halayko claimed.
The footage of the supposed haunting is from February 2024, which Halayko recently posted online to see what others made of it, and he said the reaction has been huge.
He still doesn’t have a definitive explanation, but he isn’t ruling out the paranormal.
“I’d be crazy to say it’s not possible,” he said. “There are many things in this world that we don’t understand.”
