(ANSA) - SKOPJE, 21 OTT - The 26th Week of the Italian Language in the World #SLIM2026 made a stop yesterday at the Multimedia Center of the “Blazhe Koneski” Faculty of Philology in Skopje with a lecture by Prof. Milena Giuffrida, a researcher in Italian literary philology at the University of Catania, titled “Pirandello Nazionale: Toward a New Model of Collaborative and Integrated Digital Scholarly Edition” and moderated by Prof. Ruska Ivanovska-Naskova.
Marking the 90th anniversary of the death of Luigi Pirandello, winner of the 1934 Nobel Prize in Literature, the event offered a reflection on the potential of digital philology and the contribution that new technologies can make to the accessibility and enjoyment of the work of one of the greatest authors of the 20th century.
In the afternoon, Professors Milena Giuffrida and Ana Ilievska—the keynote speaker at the opening session of #SLIM2026— were guests on the radio program *Amarcord*, hosted by Dea and Roberto Tamborini and broadcast live from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the web radio station Stereolab.mk.
The conversation provided an opportunity to delve deeper into the themes of their respective lectures, in a program enriched by a musical selection dedicated to Italian culture. During the broadcast, the upcoming events were announced.
