Manchester United’s nightmare continued in Italy on Wednesday night after the Red Devils were beaten 4-1 by Como in their UEFA Champions League match at the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigagila.
Nico Paz opened the scoring for Como two minutes into the match courtesy of an assist from Luca Da Cunha before Anatasios Douvikas four minutes into the second half.
Paz netted his brace of the match in the 57th minute following a sloppy play by Carlos Baleba, with Jacobo Ramon firing home a header pass from Kaiki to make it 4-0.
Substitute Joshua Zirkzee pulled one back for Manchester United in added time, with Amad Diallo providing the assist, but the late goal did little to appease the frustrated fans.
Man United have now failed to win any of their last seven matches across all competitions, suffering four defeats and managing three draws.
The Reds have only managed to win two of their 11 games this season with head coach Michael Carrick now under fire.
Meanwhile, Galatasaray, on the road, beat Lille 4-2 in their match at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy. Yunus Akgun, Aleksey Batrakov, Nabil Bentaleb (own goal) and Victor Osimhen were the goal scorers for the Turkish champions.
Soriba Diaoune scored both goals for Lille as Galatasaray earned their first Champions League win of the season.
