Former Aston Villa and West Ham United midfielder, Nigel Reo-Coker, has
named the player he believes should win the 2026 Ballon d’Or.
Reo-Coker also named the players he believes should finish in the top five of the Ballon d’Or ranking.
“Michael Olise [fifth position], fantastic player, Jude Bellingham [fourth position], I think for me he is the heartbeat of England,” Reo-Coker said via CBS Sports Golazo while naming his top five Ballon d’Or ranking.
“Kylian Mbappe [third position] has to get mentioned, you talk about more so from an individual perspective. The accolades for what he does. He does his job. He is a striker; he scores goals. He is doing his job.
“Harry Kane [second position], what he did in the Bundesliga and at the World Cup. His numbers and his individual goals as well, so you have to put him there. And the number one [to win the Ballon d’Or] is Lamine Yamal,” he said.
The winner of the 2026 Ballon d’Or will be announced on October 26 in London.
