Unsportsmanlike conduct isn’t limited to the football field, but Denver Broncos fans are tamer than most online.
That was one of the findings from an analysis by ActionNetwork.com, which looked at more than 2.5 million comments from the subreddits of all 32 NFL teams to find out which fans are the most polite and most foul-mouthed, along with the most positive and negative online.
Broncos fans keep out of the muck, with relatively few personal foul mouths. Those fans finished as the fifth most polite fan group, based on how infrequently profanity was used in posts. The occasional barnyard epithet or PG-13 reference to manure pops up, but they are rare.
Broncos fans are also among the most positive fan bases, ranking as the third-most positive in the NFL. That was based on 50.75% of comments being positive — just a couple cheers behind the 51.1% rate of the leading Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
