Samsung Electronics (005930.KS) said on the 13th that it took part as an official partner in the La Liste 2027 Korea Awards, a global dining event held on the 12th at Paradise City in Incheon's Jung district, where it introduced its artificial intelligence home appliances.
La Liste is a global dining guide that evaluates and introduces restaurants, hotels and pastry establishments worldwide. Each year it releases its Global Top 1000 Selection based on a combined analysis of media coverage, expert reviews and customer review data from countries around the world.
Samsung set up an exhibition space at the venue to display AI kitchen appliances, including refrigerators and induction cooktops designed to assist with cooking. The Bespoke AI Family Hub Kitchen Fit Max refrigerator and the Bespoke AI Kimchi Plus Kitchen Fit Max kimchi refrigerator can be installed flush into cabinetry with just 4 millimeters of clearance on each side. The Infinite Line Induction with Built-in Hood houses a hood in the center of the unit, removing smoke and odors effectively without a separate ceiling-mounted hood.
Chef Tammy Lee, a specialist in classic French cuisine, also held a demonstration session cooking with Samsung appliances. Lee used a range of features, including Auto Open Door, which opens the refrigerator door on a voice command; AI Vision, which identifies ingredients using an internal camera; and AI Food Manager, which keeps track of stored ingredients.
Samsung, jointly with La Liste, presented a special Game Changer Award to Woo Jung-wook, a chef specializing in Korean cuisine. Woo was recognized for bringing fresh energy to fine dining through free-ranging ideas and a willingness to take on challenges.
Lee Sang-jik, executive vice president of Samsung Electronics' Digital Appliances business, said the company introduced the differentiated kitchen experience of its Bespoke AI appliances at La Liste, where leading figures from the global dining world gathered in one place. "We will expand into global markets with AI appliances that enhance the cooking experience and make kitchens more convenient," he said.
