Privy, a Stripe-owned company that helps businesses build cryptocurrency wallets, partnered with Ripple to bring its wallets to the XRPL blockchain, Privy said in a Tuesday (Oct. 13) blog post.
The collaboration will make it easier for developers to build payments and agentic experiences on XRPL, according to the post.
The XRPL blockchain is built for moving and exchanging digital assets ranging from stablecoins to tokenized real-world assets. Over its 14 years of operation, XRPL has moved $1 trillion in value and grown to 8 million funded accounts, the post said.

With Privy, developers will be able to create and manage XRPL wallets programmatically; sign transactions; build experiences using XRP, RLUSD and other digital assets on XRPL; and enable x402 payments for agentic commerce, per the post.
Privy and Ripple plan to deepen the integration to include policy controls and gas sponsorship, according to the post.
“Stablecoins are changing how money moves, and XRPL has been building for payments from the start,” Privy Co-Founder and CEO Henri Stern said in the release. “We’re excited to make Privy wallets available to developers building on XRPL, from global payments to agentic commerce, and whatever comes next.”
Markus Infanger, senior vice president of RippleX at Ripple, said in the release: “Privy brings proven wallet infrastructure that makes it easier for FinTechs and developers to bring XRPL into real products, from payments and stablecoin experiences to emerging forms of agentic commerce. Paired with XRPL’s fast settlement, low transaction costs, and native support for moving and exchanging digital assets, developers have a strong foundation to build financial products that can scale.”
PYMNTS reported in June that Ripple is targeting the agentic payments market and that the company launched a new set of tools, documentation and integrations designed to help developers build agentic payment applications on XRPL.
It was also reported in June that Ripple was aiming to add a lending layer to XRPL to allow institutions to borrow against on-chain assets instead of simply issuing and moving them.
Meanwhile, Privy announced in June 2025 that Stripe was acquiring the company to deepen Stripe’s involvement in the digital asset space. Stern said at the time that the combination would enable Privy to accelerate its work to bring crypto and fiat closer together.
