Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal and Real Madrid midfielder Arda Guler have recorded the highest number of key passes among players in Europe’s top five leagues during the 2026-27 season.
Yamal leads the chart with 30 key passes, while Guler follows closely with 28, highlighting the creative contributions of the two young La Liga stars.
According to a ranking published by Planet Football on Wednesday, the statistics cover the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga and Ligue 1. A key pass is the final pass leading to a teammate attempting a shot at goal.
Yamal’s position at the top reflects his influence in Barcelona’s attack, with the 19-year-old contributing through his dribbling, incisive passing and ability to create opportunities in the final third.
Guler has also impressed with his vision, defence-splitting passes and set-piece deliveries. However, his two assists from 28 key passes indicate that several of the opportunities he has created have not resulted in goals.
Spanish midfielder Inigo Vicente ranks third with 25 key passes in eight appearances, while Italian midfielder Giacomo Calo occupies fourth place with 24 in six appearances for Frosinone.
Roma forward Paulo Dybala completes the top five with 23 key passes, underlining his creative importance to the Italian side. The Argentine also boasts an expected assists figure of 3.68, according to the ranking.
