The content creator shared the update through a TikTok video posted on his Facebook page, recounting how a run of heavy partying led to a frightening medical crisis.
Why was Andy hospitalised?
Andy explained that after several days of hard partying, he decided to rest on Tuesday and Wednesday.
When he finally attempted to eat something, a sharp pain struck him in the centre of his abdomen.
He then lay down on his left side, only to find the pain spread further to the left and back to the centre.
Recognising it as something serious, he made his way to hospital, where he was referred from one facility to another before doctors made their findings.
"I was informed that there were complications involving my pancreas and small intestines. I was told they were caused by alcohol consumption," he said.
He described his pancreas as having started to deteriorate, using the Swahili term "kuoza" to paint a picture of how bad things had got.
The situation was serious enough that doctors inserted a nasogastric tube into his stomach to drain fluid that was building up and disrupting his ability to digest food.
In the most striking part of his update, Andy did not mince his words about how close things felt.
"Let me tell you guys, I saw death," he said, speaking directly to his followers from his hospital bed.
He had gone three days without food due to the digestion difficulties, and at the time of his update, no confirmed discharge date had been shared.
Andy Deh is the son of the late MC Fullstop, a well-known figure in Kenya's reggae and entertainment scene who passed away earlier.
Andy himself has carved out a presence online as a content creator, and his candid update drew attention from followers concerned about his well-being.
