Travis Kelce recently revealed the unexpected impact that his wife, Taylor Swift, has had on the Kansas City Chiefs, admitting it wasn't something he anticipated when their relationship began.
Kelce and Swift began dating in September 2023, got engaged in 2025, and then married this past July in a high-profile wedding at New York City's Madison Square Garden attended by friends, family, NFL stars, and A-list celebrities.
However, throughout their relationship, Swift has been a presence at Chiefs games, often drawing attention on camera for her support of Kelce during his time on the field. According to Kelce, she's also introduced new audiences to Chiefs football and helped bring families together.
"I have a lot more people coming up to me, expressing their stories of them and their daughters having a moment of watching football together, and that has been undoubtedly the majority of people who come up to me and talk football just off the street," he said on the "New Heights" podcast.

"I didn't have that one on the card when I started dating Tay," Kelce admitted to his brother and co-host, Jason Kelce.
Swift's popularity is undeniable, as the multi-time Grammy winner has a huge fanbase of "Swifties" and has attracted millions to her concerts worldwide. Her popularity has introduced many of her fans to Chiefs football, with some embracing Kelce and the team.
Most recently, Swift went viral seated next to Indiana Fever WNBA star Caitlin Clark at the Chiefs game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Kansas City won its sixth game of the season to remain unbeaten, with a 22-6 final score.
Kelce finished with four catches for 53 yards and no touchdowns. For the season, he's racked up 20 receptions for 299 yards and two touchdowns, and is part of a strong Chiefs team that seems capable of a deep run into the playoffs.
That's big considering how much the team struggled last season. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes went out with a brutal season-ending injury, and the team finished 6-11, missing the postseason for the first time in a long time under head coach Andy Reid.
Rumors of Kelce's retirement swirled as the season ended, but he made the significant decision to return in an effort to help Reid, Mahomes, and the Chiefs return to respectability.
They've made significant progress toward that goal with a 6-0 start, and expectations are growing for another deep postseason run in Kansas City.
