The excavator configuration targets small and midsize contractors moving to 3D grade control through a Trimble Works subscription.
Trimble has announced a new configuration of the Trimble Earthworks grade control platform for excavators that uses dual DA2 GNSS receivers. The configuration is intended for cost-sensitive customers and provides a 3D positioning solution for excavation applications.
The DA2 GNSS receiver adds another option to Trimble’s on-machine technology portfolio. The new Earthworks configuration is designed for small and midsize contractors moving to 3D workflows and grade control. It includes the Trimble ProPoint positioning engine for positioning performance in challenging environments. The configuration is available through a Trimble Works subscription, which includes Trimble WorksManager and reduces upfront equipment costs.
The new Trimble Earthworks configuration allows additional customers and regions to use the Trimble ecosystem. The system supports data exchange between field and office operations and provides project stakeholders with current project information for decision-making.
Trimble Earthworks with DA2 GNSS receivers is scheduled to become available through the Trimble dealer network in mid-fourth quarter 2026.
