The coach has admitted to placing hidden cameras in locker rooms and filming female gymnasts in 2017 and 2018 in Purvis, Mississippi.
At least ten girls were affected.
Investigators found the footage on the coach's computer several years later while investigating allegations that he had sexually abused gymnasts in Iowa.
He was charged with three counts of child pornography and sentenced to the maximum penalty on each count. He will now spend the rest of his life in prison.
The case has shaken the sport, and the USA Gymnastics Federation has been criticized for not doing enough to protect young gymnasts from sexual abuse.
