Two people died when an SUV had a tyre burst and overturned on the B1 road on Saturday.
Zambezi regional police commander commissioner Julia Sakuwa-Neo confirmed the accident to The Namibian on Saturday.
She said there were 10 occupants in the vehicle that was travelling from Katima Mulilo to Botswana when the accident happened at around 07h00.
“The 10 occupants were staff members of University of Namibia who were headed to Botswana when the accident occurred. The families of the two deceased are yet to be informed of their deaths.”
She said other passengers suffered serious to minor injur
