The Vikings aren’t trading Jordan Addison to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Full stop.
Only crazy people would believe the Vikings, who are undefeated and finding their rhythm on offense, would ever consider trading Jordan Addison. He’s the No. 2 receiver behind Justin Jefferson, and the receivers behind him — Jauan Jennings, Tai Felton, Myles Price, Jeshaun Jones, and Odell Beckham Jr. — have combined for 11 catches and 108 yards all season.
Alas, it’s amazing how one X/Twitter post can turn nothing into something. Case in point: the post below, from an account with fewer than 200 followers, has reached more than 350,000 sets of eyes. It manufactures Addison as a possible Pittsburgh trade target, doing so immediately after noting that a reputable reporter thinks the Steelers could be active before the Nov. 10 trade deadline.
But here’s the thing: Mark Kaboly, who has covered the Steelers for decades, says the Steelers could be looking for a wide receiver before the deadline, but he never mentioned Addison. The X account just tossed Addison’s name into the conversation as a hypothetical.
Per #Steelers reporter @MarkKaboly the team is expected to make a few moves ahead of the November 10th trade deadline
