Alejandro Davidovich Fokina defeated fellow Spaniard Rafael Jodar to claim the biggest title of his career at the Shanghai Masters.
After upsetting top seed Alexander Zverev in the semi-finals, the world number 26 fought back from a set down to defeat rising star Jodar 1-6, 7-6 (7-5), 6-4.
Jodar, 20, led by a set and a break but Davidovich Fokina hit back and withstood intense pressure on his serve before winning the second-set tie-break and then edging the decider.
Davidovich Fokina lost his first five ATP Tour finals, including four last year, but has now claimed three titles this year and will rise to a career-high ranking of 13th.
