The main draw of the 2026 Sudden Attack Championship Season 2, the official esports tournament for Nexon's popular online first-person shooter Sudden Attack, opens at 5 p.m. on the 24th.
Nexon said on the 23rd that the tournament, held under the slogan "Sudden Attack Championship, Turn On the Match," will run across eight rounds through Dec. 19. Matches take place every Saturday at 5 p.m., with a break on Nov. 21 during the G-Star game show. Rounds one through seven will be held at Freecup Studio near Samseong Station in Seoul, and the final will be staged at DN Colosseum in Jamsil, both open to live audiences.
All matches will be streamed live on the official Sudden Attack SOOP channel and YouTube. Caster Kim Kyu-hwan will handle play-by-play alongside analysts On Sang-min and Gni, and an "analysis desk" segment breaking down matchups based on accumulated game data will begin at 4:40 p.m., 20 minutes before each match.
Eight teams will compete for a total prize pool of 80 million won ($56,000) under a double-elimination format. Notably, the tournament will introduce a "200 FPS lock" rule for the first time, following a July update that raised the game's maximum frame rate to 200 FPS. Subway, a map that players from the 2015 Sudden Attack Champions League helped design, has been selected as the fixed battleground for the first set. From the second set onward, the team that lost the previous set may choose both the map and the side from among Third Supply Depot, Dragon Road, Provence, Old Town and Crossport.
The field includes defending champion FINF along with established contenders such as white+, black+, knight and galaclan, as well as teams built around new player lineups. In the opening match, last season's champion FINF will face white+, which is anchored by three players from the 2024 Season 1 team Sasin. That will be followed by a matchup between knight, which added Kim Ji-hoon to the roster that competed last season as Divine, and galaclan, a regular presence in the main draw of the former Sudden Attack Champions League.
A range of events will be held for both on-site spectators and online viewers during the tournament. Attendees will receive coupons containing Nexon Cash, the in-game currency SP, official league containers and official league key cards. Spectators at the opening match and the final will receive 50,000 won in Nexon Cash, 9,000 SP, and 15 each of the official league containers and key cards. Additional rewards are set by the number of events attended, with fans who attend all eight rounds receiving a commemorative championship keycap keyring. Prizes will also go to the best cheering and reaction fans at each round, and spectators who draw a golden card from their attendance coupon will receive a wireless gaming mouse or a gaming mouse pad.
Events have also been prepared for online viewers. Watching matches on the official SOOP channel or on partner streamers' broadcasts earns official league containers and key cards as drops rewards based on cumulative viewing time. When a player wipes out the entire opposing team in an "all kill," viewers can claim extra rewards through a QR code displayed on the live broadcast.
The official website will also host weekly match predictions and a "Weekly Pick" event. Weekly Pick asks participants to predict which players will record the most rifle kills and the most sniper kills, paying out 100 SP for one correct answer and 1,000 SP for both. Taking part in match predictions and Weekly Pick earns league coins, and ranking points are awarded based on prediction accuracy.
League coins can be used in an event that completes team collections by gathering player cards and at the "league coin shop." Each completed team collection awards a My Gun 2 primary weapon half kit, and completing all team collections awards a permanent 26SC(S2) name plate. The league coin shop offers Season 2 commemorative items for exchange, including a permanent AK103(IS) 26SC(S2) and a permanent GSR-6(IS) 26SC(S2). In addition, players can earn league coins and other rewards by completing in-game "league challenge quests" that refresh weekly.
